Some come across true love,
from the very first try, from the first love,
and on from the very first night,
but then, they whisper to themselves,
as love makes the world go round,
perhaps,
in search of perfection,
if I go round,
i’ll find a better world,
a world,
where there’s not only love,
but everything i want,
and then,
they go round in search of what they want
never forever finding a complete world,
’cause the truth is,
love is all that makes the world go round,
not something better,
not something perfect,
but just love,
and as sad as it might seem to some,
who know not how to cherish what they’ve got,
it is the same sadness that some others seek to come across
’cause that sadness, is truly a joy,
the joy of being loved, and loving someone back in return,
and knowing that,
the second step in keeping your world round as it is,
is cherishing the love
that you’ve got.

This and the next few poems have hardly anything to do with fiction. I wrote this poem and the others to follow for a lady who not only makes me glad, but makes my heart smile… It will be 3 days before we meet again after what has seemed like forever, hence, the term distance is perhaps one of the main themes that will appear often. The term “kullake” also might be something foreign to come across, its an Estonian word for “dear”… What you’ll see here then in the next few posts are a handful of some of my personal poems… And I do this ’cause she inspires me…
You are everything there is to need,
you are everything I need to want,
and everything that I just want to need,
wanting nothing else
means loving you,
needing only you
means your love is beautiful,
asking for nothing and nothing
being asked still
means your love completes me,
reasoning beyond this time,
and looking back to yesterday
for the sake of tomorrow in your absence
means I’m crazy about you,
and looking at every other
and wondering to myself,
“kullake,
where are you”
means only that I miss you so…
If what you want from me is me,
how can I give you me?
when you already have me…
Selfishness,
wanting too much of what
we already have,
and greed,
going even further
is not just wanting
too much of what we already have,
but wanting even more of what we don’t have,
and then again,
there’s the complexity of these two things,
wherein, wanting less of what we have or don’t have
sometimes results in having nothing of what we already have or yet to have…
Need me, want me,
this is all i ask,
not for you to love me,
yet, is there a possibility
that this is what I imply?
i love what i want,
i hate what i need,
i like what i want,
i don’t like what i must seek…
